Fall here is not sweater weather. Mornings finally ease up, but the afternoons are still hot and the rain has not fully quit. Pumpkin patches and fall festivals are open, so go early, and keep a named indoor backup for the afternoon storm.
If it is sunny before noon
Municipal splash pads and shaded playgrounds. Get there when they open, before the heat and the crowds do. Start with splash pads or parks in your city.

Do not negotiate with lightning. Flip to indoor play, a children’s museum, or library story time. Check what’s on this week for a story time near you.
