iOS App Privacy Policy
Effective July 24, 2026
The short version
The FundayFinder iOS app does not collect your personal information. There is no account and no sign-in, we use no analytics or advertising software, and we do not track you. Everything you enter — your kids, your schedule, your plans and your history — stays on your iPhone.
This policy covers the FundayFinder app for iPhone. Our website at fundayfinder.com works differently — it offers optional accounts and web billing — and is covered by our main Privacy Policy.
Information we collect
None. The app has no account system, no login, and no server that stores anything about you.
What the app stores on your device
The app saves the following in its own private storage on your iPhone, so it can plan your week. This information is never transmitted to us:
- •Each child’s nickname (optional) and birth month. Ages are recalculated on the device and used only to match activities to age ranges.
- •Your home city, chosen from a list, and the time windows you’re usually free.
- •Your activity preferences and optional nap window.
- •Your weekly plan, your tried-it log and ratings, and any notes or reviews you write.
- •Any custom spots you add yourself.
Deleting the app removes all of it. You can also erase everything at any time from Profile → Reset everything.
Network requests the app makes
The app connects to the internet for three things. None of these requests include your name, your children’s information, an account identifier, or any advertising identifier:
- •Weather. The app requests a 7-day forecast from Open-Meteo, a free weather service, using the approximate coordinates of the city you selected. Open-Meteo answers the request and does not receive anything else about you.
- •Spot photos and local events. The app requests photos and this week’s local event listings from fundayfinder.com. Photos originate from Google Places and are shown with the required attribution. As with any web request, our servers record standard technical logs such as IP address for security and reliability; we do not use these to build a profile of you.
- •Subscriptions. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple. We never see or receive your payment details. See Subscriptions below.
Tracking and advertising
The app contains no advertising, no third-party analytics, and no tracking software of any kind. We do not use the Advertising Identifier, we do not track you across other apps or websites, and we never sell or share information for advertising purposes.
Permissions the app may ask for
- •Calendar (add only). Requested only when you tap “Add this week to my calendar.” The app can add your planned outings; it cannot read your existing events. Declining does not affect anything else.
- •Notifications. Requested only if you turn on outing reminders. Reminders are scheduled locally on your iPhone — there is no push server and nothing is sent to us.
The app does not request access to your location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone.
Subscriptions
The app is free to use for 14 days. The trial is tracked on your device and requires no payment information. After the trial, continued use requires a subscription purchased through Apple’s In-App Purchase system. Apple processes the payment and shares only whether a valid subscription exists — we never receive your card number, billing address or Apple Account details. Manage or cancel any time in your Apple Account settings.
Children’s privacy
FundayFinder is a planning tool for parents, guardians and caregivers who are 18 or older. It is not directed to children and is not intended for children to use. A child’s nickname and birth month are optional, are used only on your device to filter activities by age, and are never transmitted to us or anyone else. Because we collect no information at all, we collect none from children.
Data retention and deletion
We hold no data about you, so there is nothing for us to retain or delete. Information stored on your device is under your control: use Profile → Reset everything, or delete the app to remove it entirely.
Your rights
Privacy laws including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the GDPR give you rights to access, correct, delete and port your personal information. Because the app collects no personal information and we hold no records about you, there is nothing for us to produce or erase. Your data already lives entirely in your hands, on your device.
Third-party venues, events and links
The app lists public places, city events and deals, and links out to their websites, maps and booking pages. Once you follow a link you are on someone else’s service, governed by their privacy policy, not ours. Hours, prices and conditions change — always verify before you go.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll revise the “Effective” date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice.
