The City of Oakland Park's annual Holiday Village turns Jaco Pastorius Park into a winter wonderland for a weekend. City commissioners join Santa Claus to light the 40-foot Christmas tree at the Grand Fountain Plaza. There's Santa's mailbox for letters, visits with Santa, the Grinch and other holiday characters, an artificial ice-skating rink, a carousel, a snow slide, a Christmas tree decorating contest, an artisans market and a food court.
